WestCorp Solutions is seeking a Capital Procurement Advisor for our client in Rocanville, SK. Reporting to the Manager, Capital Procurement, the primary purpose of the Advisor is to provide life cycle management of Project Contracts from creation, revision, and maintenance to closeout. The successful candidate will execute contracting and commercial strategic planning in alignment with key business objectives and will support capital projects by working with site-based teams to add value to client’s capital portfolios and procurement objectives.

Proactively develop procurement strategies, provide expert advice, and earn buy-in from all stakeholders on current and future capital procurement needs while ensuring compliance to company policies, and procedures.
Leverage strong problem solving and analytical skills to develop and lead implementation of practical sourcing and stakeholder engagement strategies which consider Capital program demand forecasts, work scope requirements, opportunities, and risks, as well as supplier and industry dynamics and other business drivers.
Execute procurement best practice for sourcing activities, ensuring these practices are in accordance with client policies and procedures.
Develop project or scope specific contracting and procurement strategies and contract execution plans in support of Project Management stage gate review processes.
Facilitate and support end users’ needs for sourcing goods and services, including providing appropriate and timely input to planning of capital project needs; assisting in RFx processes including participating in the development of scopes of work and evaluation criteria, support the development of commercial compensation structure for the scopes of work support the evaluation of bids, negotiation preparation and execution, completing and implementing contracts including contract close-out activities.
Lead initiatives for strategic alignment and procurement effectiveness with Category Management, other Procurement team members, and the business.
Manage the day-to-day contract related requests such as supporting contractor on-boarding and kick-off requirements, change management activities, and claims management.
Preparation of Contract Executive Summaries.
Lead Supplier relationship reviews with key suppliers on a periodic or as needed basis and be a champion of client Diversity and Inclusion efforts.
Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to procurement team members across all Procurement site locations.

Skill/Knowledge:

Track record of success leading engagements or other problem-solving initiatives requiring coordination of cross function team members with varied backgrounds and skills.
Deep familiarity and practical experience with enterprise asset management systems (SAP / Oracle), spend management tools (Ariba).
Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to quickly learn technology.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
Seven (7) years relevant experience in strategic sourcing, Supply Chain Management, project management, engineering, or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or similar discipline is considered an asset.
Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM) is considered an asset.
Targeted experience in supply chain management including competitive sourcing, supplier negotiations & contract execution, supplier relationship & contract management, spend analytics, and supplier risk management will be considered a strong asset, but not required.

Schedule: 8 days on/6 days off – LOA and flights provided
