Engineering Manager - ID 250 - North Vancouver, BC
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
Registered engineer in good standing with EGBC (formerly APEGBC)
Technical Skills and Abilities:
Project management experience including scope development, cost control, scheduling, change management, contract administration, and document control.
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and implement new software applications.
Experience with asset management software, with preference given to experience with JD Edwards.
Experience with AutoCAD and other drawing software packages.
Experience with GIS applications
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point SharePoint, Project.
Significant experience in document control best practices.
Exposure to heavy industry, preferably in dry bulk handling.
Soft Skills and Abilities:
Five years of leadership experience required.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including executives.
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
Able to create alternative solutions to problems, both technically and process flow.
Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to engineer and non-engineer team members in a clear manner.
Highly organized and able to create and manage various schedules.
Ability to interpret, implement, and develop company policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to be a team player and work cooperatively with multiple stakeholders.
Full time contract.
