Planner/Scheduler - JOB ID 678

WestCorp Solutions is searching for a Planner/Scheduler to support our client in either Calgary or Fort McMurray, AB. The Business Unit Projects (BUP) Department is seeking an experienced and driven Project Controls Scheduler to provide support to our Project Controls Division.

Key Accountabilities:
Accountable for developing and validating the estimate and schedule and ensuring that changes are properly approved and documented.
Assist with milestone and resource-loaded schedules as requested by the project management process and execution plans.
Ensure cost breakdown structure coding is correct on all scheduled transactions, while monitoring, verifying, and attesting estimate details.
Provide input into the regular stewardship reporting process.
Prepare and maintain management-level schedules with the status of the Project.
Maintain effective trends systems and their impact on schedule predictability.
Work with management, providing detailed reports, and explanations of changes or slippages.
Chair or support stewardship meetings.
Responsible for overall schedule management within the regional service offering related to projects.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant trades background is strongly preferred.
Four (4) years experience working in Planning/Scheduling is required.
Primavera P6 is a required skill.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required to work in a multi-disciplined team.
Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately.
SAP experience is considered an asset.
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to establish your own priorities.
