Process Safety Specialist - JOB ID 646
Key Accountabilities:
Lead the PHA planning and preparation processes, including charter development, PSI review and safeguard validation.
Follow and execute PHA end-to-end process according to established business practice and corporate standards/guideline.
Prepare PHA-Pro worksheet ahead of PHA.
Partake in PHA sessions to ensure consistent application of methodology per corporate standards/guideline.
Collaborate with multi stakeholders in reviewing, editing, and concluding PHA output including final report.
Enter PHA action items in Enablon.
Participate in Project PHAs and MOC PHAs; contribute and provide guidance as needed, facilitate/scribe smaller-scale PHAs as needed.
Other PSM related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Seven (7) years relevant experience, including process safety systems and process controls.
Bachelor’s Engineering degree or related technical discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong time management skills, poised under pressure, manage priorities, and react promptly to meet deadlines with high-quality work.
Ability to influence without formal authority.
Alignment with client’s values: safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity.
Preference:
PHA Facilitation and Scribe skills and experience, specifically HAZOP, What-if, LOPA.
Knowledge of downstream operations specifically refinery and logistics/mid-stream to understand process safety corrective actions.
Skills & Knowledge:
Process Safety Management.
Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
Management of Change (MOC.)
P&ID and PFD reading proficiency.
Special software – Enablon and PHA-Pro.
Other skills – Process oriented, organized, attention to detail, time management, interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills.
