PROCUREMENT ADVISOR - JOB ID 405

In this role, you will be responsible to perform all operational activities including planning, scheduling, coordination, and procurement for our Fixed Plants SCM outage organization. You will be required to understand and balance requests for materials or services, and ensure fulfilment in accordance with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) operational model.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and maintain the entire lifecycle of purchase orders and other procurement documentation
  • Plan operations activities to supply materials and/or services to meet the requirements of our business partners
  • Address complex procurement related issues and situations as needed, and manage risk
  • Collaborate with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure all procurement activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of supply chain
  • Drive compliance with SCM policies, processes, procedures, and strategies
  • Support/implement/maintain SCM service level agreements and manage KPI targets.
  • Support stewardship delivery to BU stakeholders through LT/ACF/CFT platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement, inventory management, and/or warehouse operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SAP
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • A positive work ethic and you perform well with limited supervision
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Experience and Education:

  • Five or more years of supply chain experience
  • Experience in procurement, inventory management, and/or warehouse operations
  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in supply chain or business administration

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8 hr days
LOCATION: Calgary, AB OR Fort McMurray, AB
