WestCorp Solutions is seeking a SCM Advisor to support our client in Calgary or Fort McMurray, AB. This position requires a broad understanding of SCM concepts, processes, and knowledge of how to navigate amongst the internal supply chain team to support business client requirements. In this role, you will be responsible to perform SCM operational activities including planning, scheduling, coordination, and logistics management for the client’s Fixed Plants SCM organization. You will be expected to understand and balance requests for goods or services, and ensure fulfillment to deliver on business unit forecasts and weekly demands. This role will advise business unit requestors on commercial strategies and procurement plans, and guide transactions against them to guarantee supply of goods or services.

Key Accountabilities:

Support the entire lifecycle of purchase orders, through collaboration with the central procurement team.
Plan operations activities to supply materials and/or services to meet the requirements of our business partners.
Collaborate with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure all procurement activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of supply chain.
Drive compliance with SCM policies, processes, procedures, and strategies.
Support/implement/maintain SCM service level agreements and manage KPI targets.
Support stewardship delivery to BU stakeholders through cross functional team platforms.
Support supplier management for the delivery of goods and services.
Support Outage/Turnaround procurement activities, as required.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in procurement, inventory management, and/or warehouse operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong collaboration skills that enable you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
A positive work ethic and you perform well with limited supervision.

Education & Experience:

Five (5) years of supply chain experience is required.
Experience in procurement, logistics management, inventory management, and/or warehouse operations.
An undergraduate degree, preferably in supply chain or business administration.
