As the Turnaround Coordinator you will provide functional turnaround expertise and be responsible for defining facility scopes of work, contributing to Turnaround strategies and preparing detailed deliverables to support sustaining operations and Turnaround programs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Work with Operations and the Turnaround Planning & Scheduling teams to prioritize, schedule and resource all maintenance work and execute the approved work schedule
Analyze, approve and schedule emergency and break-in work scope and identify and expedite materials, tools, internal/contract resources for break-in work and scope growth on planned work
Provide feedback to Turnaround Planning and Reliability to improve effectiveness of maintenance strategies and procedures
Track/monitor Turnaround Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), report deviation from targets and develop corrective actions. Work effectively with Reliability team to drive improvements in equipment performance
Responsible for addressing actions arising from health, safety and environmental audits, ensure compliance to all relevant external regulatory requirements and effective application of Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA), Focused Observations, Incident Learning Program (ILP), and all health, safety and environmental standards
Ensure compliance to all relevant policies and standards including the Life Saving Rules, Management of Change (MoC) process and maintenance business processes and provide input to the development of area-specific procedures and standards
Provide input to the annual and long range Turnaround plans.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Trade certificated (Pipefitter/ Steamfitter, Boilermaker, Electrician, Millwright )
Minimum of five years’ experience (post apprenticeship) in a heavy industrial environment, oil sands/petrochemical industry experience is desirable
Prior supervisory and/or maintenance coordination experience in oil sands, utilities, petro-chemical, pulp & paper or other similar heavy industry is required
Experience working on large oil and gas projects

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Understanding of Turnaround processes required
Strong technical knowledge of maintenance best practices for oil sands materials handling
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and execute with limited supervision
Effective communicator - both written and verbal - with ability to develop strong cross-functional working relationships with other key stakeholder groups including operations, reliability, technical, supply chain and contractors is required
Familiar with and competent in the use of at least one industry-standard Enterprise Resource Planning tool - e.g. SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.
Strong computer skills - specifically Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings such as process flow drawings (PFDs), process and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings (GAs), piping isometrics, electrical and mechanical drawings, single line drawings, etc is highly desirable
Understanding and demonstration of Continuous Improvement (Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Total Production Maintenance (TPM), 5S) principles
Ability to work independently and within a diverse trades team in a safety focused environment
Strong commitment to environment, health and safety with proven safety training and exceptional safety record
Must be a self-starter with demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills

SCHEDULE: 10/4 rotation (10 days on, 4 days off) - 10 hour days

Camp provided for candidates residing outside of the municipality of Wood Buffalo
